Artist: Jules LAGAE 1862-1931 was a pupil of Van der Stappen. He was a gifted and celebrated sculptor. He made monumental work which can be found in Belgium and abroad, as well as small sculpture.

Obverse:
In the centre a woman
Around her a Blacksmith and a woman (holds a bunch a flower) shaking hands.
Inscription: "Exposition internationale Bruxelles 1897".

Reverse:
Depicts two lions holding the shield of Flanders with the royal crown.
