Mule JAB M/E-03 ARSERNAL WITHOUT SUN / YOUNG AMERICA - White Metal 28mm - Unknown number struck The piece consists of the obverse of JAB 4 muled with the obverse of JAB 5. Both dies were executed in 1862. They were sold to Mason, to Edwards, to Cogans, to Chapmans, and finally to the ANS where they currently reside. These mules were struck by Masons and/or Edwards and are quite rare. The example pictured was acquired in the December 2012 Hayden sale for approximately $330.
