|
From the collection of John Birks
Numbers Issued: 764 Bronze, 50 Silver
FROM THE ARTIST
In the wild, vigilance is a safeguard against destruction by the predatory species of the animal world. Man too, must be ever vigilant to protect himself and his liberties from destruction. I have chosen the deer as the symbol of vigilance since this animal could not survive without its keen perception of approaching danger. The vulture following in the wake or moral and material chaos, symbolizes destruction.
